Because the people who attend Clayworks Inc. sure do. If intramural sports have got you down and you are still looking for ways to fill your time after hours, consider opening your mind to something new…and getting your hands dirty. Clayworks is a ceramics studio/classroom/gallery where people of all skill levels are welcome to learn. My ex-wife gave me classes for my birthday two years ago and I have yet to collect. This could be my semester! I believe this organization is a non-profit as well…which is always a good thing. Check out their website and create something amazing.

Maybe I should update everyone first. I don’t think many people will be reading this but not everyone knows where I have been.
My Movement:
A little over a year and half ago, an amazing influence entered my life. It was the influence of change. The most significant change brought on by this influence was the confidence to travel. So I did. New Zealand first. Amazing experience with a small brush of trouble. Then Serbia/Belgium. Serious trouble narrowly averted. I recently was training in Colombia South America. Riding is amazing and the people of this region have impacted me forever. Due to a personal circumstance I thought I could solve, I ended my two month trip early and returned to ruins. I maintain my composure mostly due to the influences of the past two years. I quit my job over a year ago and have never looked back. Now I live on my terms, and experiences have come in the form of great conversations, beautiful landscapes, heartbreak, and fast bicycles. I have no regrets about my recent history, and I felt it in the form of a gun pressed against my head while I was being robbed two weeks ago. Tomorrow I will begin again, it is only ten minutes away. I will destroy what has bound me in the past and look forward to my next great experience.

I never made a mix CD for someone, nor has anyone made a mix CD for me. The people making the mix CD are thinking, “hey, by making this someone is going to realise how much effort I am putting forth and they will probably be able to pull a secret message from this by analyzing these lyrics as much as I have.” The person on the receiving end ends up feeling weird about getting a CD filled with alternative-rock-n-roll-ish dramatic love songs wedged between Sublime and Snoop Dogg. My advice is not to make Mix CD’s for people that you are trying to send a message to, rather, just talk to them or write a nice letter. Their reaction may surprise you, and you could preserve the relationship.
-an additional note: if no other reason to make a mix CD, there is the legality issue. You may read about it here.
